Skype Tips and Tricks for the iPod Touch 2G / Iphone

I have recently posted a new video guide on how to setup your ipod touch (2G Required) to work with Skype, I will show you how to get your internal speaker to work on the iPod touch even when a microphone is plugged in. I have tested this with an iPod Touch 2G with a speakeasy thumbtack mic and also apple’s own microphone / headphone set I also show how to setup skype so it runs in the background. This involves using a program called “Backgrounder”. Take a look at the video for complete details. Also, I am not using the 3.0 Firmware in this video. You may need a jailbroken ipod to perform all of the tips and tricks in the video.

man, i read somewhere that u need insomnia to keep it from turning the WIFI off, ur solution keeps it alive?, also, with ur trick u get to know when someone’s calling but once u accept the call it will reproduce thru the speaker too? any way to turn into a headset to talk with privacy?
great video! short, simple, and to the point (unlike most).
does putting Skype in the background cause noticeably reduced performance? do you keep anything else in the background? if having just Skype in the background slows down overall performance, then maybe it’s worth waiting for a 3.1 jailbreak so this will work on the new iPod touch 2GS. what do you think?
Does this work on the thumbtack too?
